People always talk about how the fight is within us. How we need to look at our thoughts and actions. We need to ‘introspect’. But is the fight really within us?
I know the mind is powerful and I know that our thoughts control our actions but my point is why does everything role back to being ‘within us’? I know what people mean while saying that the fight is within us, in fact, I’ve said it to many people too.
What I’m trying to say is why does all the blame come to us?
Why not the situation?
Why not the people around us?
Why not the time?
We can’t control these things, these things control us, then why the fuck is the fight within us?
Because we may not be able to control them (situations, people, time…), but we can stop them from controlling us. We don’t have to walk into their arms. Their arms may be wide open and they may be able to make you feel more comforting than any other arms, but we shouldn’t give in.
The day we give in is the day we lose the fight. You tell me, will you give in to the wrong people? People, who hurt you or your loved ones? No, you won’t give in. Then why do you give in to the situations? Why do you give in to the people?
Now you’ll say, ‘Cool, fine. We won’t give in. But what about time? Everybody has to give in to time?’
Really?
Are you sure?
Absolutely sure?
I don’t think anybody has to give in to time. I think we just need to understand and value time. The day you learn to understand and value time, is the day you realise that your fight within is getting easier and clearer.
No, the fight won’t stop, but the uneasy feeling that you get, like a pounding migraine that never goes away, that will definitely not be around anymore.
Introspecting is the right way to live life. When you know that the only fight you need to fight is the one within you, you’ll know that the only winner is also you.
