Beautifully Flawed

It's funny how everything is all perfect and boom! There's a tornado in town.

It's funny how we feel so loved and so special with one person and snap! The conversations stopped.

It's funny how we feel that we won't be touched and slam! We're wiping the blood off our face.

It's funny how we feel like we're doing everything right and bam! We gotta start all over again.

Isn't it funny? Funny how we all can relate to at least one of these? Funny how we want to deny that it doesn't matter, but it does. Funny how you think that I'm probably writing this in a very calm state of mind but no, I'm not. Yes, all of this is funny but maniacally funny. All of this might be funny but i know we're all tired and nothing seems funny anymore.

You might have acne or thin lips. You might be very skinny or overweight you might be dark skinned or pale or a hundred other things. Tell me you've never had sleepless nights over this. I know you have, we all have.

We sit and count all our negative points. We think about every single mistake we've made. We think about all the times we messed up. We think about why we're not worth it.

We beat ourselves over and over again over the smallest of things. We lose sleep for something we can't change. We cry even though we know we can't go back in time. We ignore because we're not courageous enough. We think it'll be alright even though we don't believe it.

We don't even acknowledge the good things we've done. We don't see how patient we were. We don't see how important it is to give ourselves a second chance. We don't see why our feelings matter after all.

It's very important for each one of us to acknowledge ourselves, to love ourselves to stand up for ourselves and blah blah, things you've heard seven billion times. But you know what? You're flawed.
Accept that.

Have you accepted that? Do you feel bad that you're flawed? I don't know why you feel bad. Being flawed isn't bad, isn't wrong, it's human. It's who we are. Yes, we are all flawed in different ways, but with ONE similarity; beautiful.

We're all beautifully flawed.
